Nice to meet you.
I’m an art director living in Portland, Maine with experience driving innovative and compelling creative stories from inception to execution. I've most recently been pouring most of my focus into photography and graphic design. I fell in love with photography during my various backpacking and travel adventures throughout the years. As I immersed myself in new cultures, foods, and visual languages across the globe, I learned that a great photo has the powerful ability to freeze time, evoke the strongest of human emotions (nostalgia, perspective, joy, you name it), and tell striking stories–all with a simple click of the shutter (and maybe a few edits).
While my love for adventure runs deep, I’m from the north shore of Massachusetts and landed in Maine because it’s a special place where all my passions converge: the outdoors (especially the ocean), sustainability, a strong sense of community, and an amazing food culture. I’ve spent the most recent part of my life here in Maine designing and producing digital content for Grove Collaborative (a sustainable online marketplace for home essentials) and photographing content for other local brands. I'm also the creative director and marketing manager for a local brewery. My background as a senior art director at one of the country's top ad agencies gave me the foundational tools to implement large-scale out-of-the-box creative thinking with tangible production solutions and to connect core audience targets with growth goals.
Between my passion for the outdoors and my drive to tell the stories of people around me, I love working with companies and individuals who prioritize sustainability, the outdoors, adventure, and community. If you have a story you’d like to tell, a marketing objective you want to achieve, a special moment or globe-trotting adventure you want to document, or simply just want to get creative, reach out to me on Instagram, LinkedIn, or at meadeliza@gmail.com.
